Section 1:  Video/ Movie  Info

1a)  Stray Thoughts' Video Catalogue is divided into two main areas: the "DVD Shop" and the "Video Library".  The DVD Shop features a small but nice selection of "pre-recorded" (factory released) DVD and VHS titles split into two sub-categories of "adult" and "horror".  The Video Library consists of video categories broken up into several smaller sub-categories, and these films are available only as DVD+/-R or VHS transfers.

1b)  All video titles sold thru ST in the Video Library are NTSC-formatted (unless otherwise noted), and are priced according to both quality and content.  In order to help any interested customers make informed decisions about choosing titles, I have devised a quality ratings key for the Video Library I call the "ASQ Rating" system, which stands for "Action/Story/Quality Rating".  I believe it accurately and fairly describes each video’s viewing and content quality, and it's fairly easy to remember how to work.  The ASQ Rating will consist of three digits--a letter, a number, and then finally another letter--and you will find the ASQ Rating at the end of each video's description.  Individually, the digits stand for:

A = action (sexual; when applicable), and/or story/plot:  A = very good;  B = good;  C = fair
S = sex content:  1 = hardcore (full penetration; used mainly for X-rated films);  2 = softcore (simulated and/or nudity)
Q = quality:  a = very good;  b = good;  c = fair;  d = below fair (grainy/washed)

Following this key, a film with an ASQ Rating of A1b means it will usually be pretty good, both story and quality-wise.  Likewise, a video with an ASQ Rating of only B1c means the film's plot isn't all that bad, but the quality might not be all that great, either.  Still, the ASQ Ratings system is easy to remember how to use in the sense that the higher the LETTERS are (A being the highest), the better the film will be, both story and quality-wise.  Keep this in mind and the ASQ Rating system should present no problems.

1c)  The video titles listed for purchase in the ST Video Library section are 'transfers'--more commonly referred to as duplicates or 'dupes'--of import and uncut titles, done in the same manner most of the other video traders sell their tapes.  High-grade VHS tapes and DVD+/-R discs (SONY, RCA, MAXELL), are used for transferring to ensure that you, the video viewers, have the best quality copies for your viewing pleasure.

1d)  As mentioned above, all titles sold thru ST are NTSC-formatted (North American standard)--at this time, we do not offer PAL/ SECAM options... so foreign customers please be aware of this.  If you place an order, you will receive the NTSC format.  However, we do offer two different ordering options for video buyers, and shoppers can choose to order either VHS or DVD+/-R (both options are the same price).  Video buyers choosing the DVD+/-R option, please make sure ahead of time before ordering that your DVD player will play these formats.  Most DVD players released today will play either format (+R or -R), without any problems, but there are some older model DVD players that have some problems when trying to play these.  If in doubt, simply consult your DVD player's owner's manual and it should state in there whether your player will be able to read them or not.

1e)  All video orders placed thru ST are secure, and the site's shopping cart is very easy to use.  If by chance you hit a snag while trying to process an order, chances are it is due to a mistype while entering shipping/billing info; simply go back and re-enter the info again.  Occasionally, and this is pretty rare, a customer might run into a spot when, while trying to place an order, he might repeatedly receive an "error" message and his order won't go thru; if this happens, it is most likely due to some kind of maintenance being done on the shopping cart.  Again, this happens rarely and when it does it usually only lasts for a few hours, but it does pop up once in a while so on the off-chance that it does happen, simply close out the shopping cart and try to place the order again a few hours later or perhaps the next day.

Section 2:  Shipping/Mail Order  Info

2a)  For U.S. orders:  All orders shipped within the U.S. (incl. Hawaii/Alaska), are mailed out via Priority Mail (2-3 days delivery once the package is mailed), OR via UPS 3-4 day delivery.  All orders are packed in either simple postal mailing boxes or unmarked plain-brown boxes, and all labeling is discretely marked.  Shipping cost is 12% of your total order price, or a minimum of $5.85 for smaller orders.  For example, if you order $50 worth of merchandise, your shipping cost will be $6.00.  This is especially reasonable considering the PO determines their shipping costs by weight; since we determine our shipping charges not by weight but by a percentage of the order's total dollar amount, larger orders--meaning orders with one or more bonus videos--are especially getting a good shipping price since the free bonus tapes are not causing the shipping price to raise any higher.  All orders over $125 receive FREE shipping!

Important notice to all PO box customers!!!  Due to stricter new laws regarding delivery of adult merchandise, ST can no longer mail packages to PO boxes.  I repeat--we DO NOT deliver packages to PO boxes any longer.  This is for several reasons, not the least of which is that I'm in the process of switching over all package delivery to UPS and they do not deliver to PO boxes.  I won't go into any more detail other than to say it's safer for everyone this way... and the PO doesn't like to have adult material mailed to its PO boxes.

2b)  For all international orders (orders outside the immediate U.S.):  All orders shipped outside the U.S. are delivered via Air Mail (5-7 days once the package is mailed), and an 18% flat base rate charge will be added to the total cost of your order (the total cost of your order determines your total shipping costs: Ex--an order totaling $100.00 will have an $18.00 shipping charge).  If this price seems too high I'm sorry, but the rate I was charging--15%--was too low and the higher rate for foreign package shipping was costing us a fortune.  All foreign orders over $250.00 receive FREE shipping!

Reminder:  All videos sold through Stray Thoughts are NTSC formatted; we DO NOT offer PAL/SECAM at this time.  All orders will be shipped in unmarked plain boxes or bubble mailer envelopes (for small orders), with the package labeled discretely.  Also, ST cannot be held responsible for packages being confiscated or seized while going through Customs, so international customers please know your country’s rules and regulations regarding package shipments.  It is not our fault if you choose to place an order, and then in turn your package is confiscated and your name is placed on some kind of violation list, which is what happens as I understand it.  Also, as a precaution, it would be wise for foreign customers to stick with smaller orders in the off-chance a package is confiscated, not a lot of money has been lost.

2c)  Please allow at least 4-6 weeks shipping time (minimum), on all orders--since returning to work outside the home once again, ST has become a part-time endeavor as I only have a fraction of the time now to work orders that I used to have.  If you feel that is too long to wait for your package, then PLEASE DO NOT ORDER.  While I try to get orders out as quick as I can, due to the smaller amount of hours I have to work them it really only takes a couple large orders to set me behind and if several orders happen to come in, then things pile up fast and it sometimes takes a while to get caught back up again--also, all orders are worked in the order I get them.

2d)  All mail-in orders MUST include a signed verification of age statement declaring that you--the buyer--are of legal age to purchase such materials.  THIS IS IMPORTANT!!!  Remember to include this information (in the space provided along the bottom of your print-out order form), as a failure to do so WILL result in a severe delay of shipment of your order.  By placing an order online through the ST shopping cart, you are stating that you are of age to purchase adult materials, videos, etc., as you must be an adult to own a credit card.

2e)  If possible, please list 2 or 3 alternate titles with your order that you would accept in substitution; this is to ensure that your package will still be shipped out quickly to you in case of a title you ordered becoming unavailable for some reason.  This is optional, but highly recommended to avoid any possible shipping delays.

2f)  Finally, all orders are FINAL!  Unless damage occurred to your videos (or other ST merchandise), during shipment, Stray Thoughts cannot and will not accept returns, and this is for very obvious reasons.  Sorry, guys... and gals, too.

Section 3:  Bonus  Deals/Special  Offers  Info

3a)  Order any 4 video titles--VHS or DVD+R option, non pre-record.--and receive a 5th SINGLE (no combos), video title for free.  Order 8 titles and receive 2 free bonus titles.  To claim any bonus title(s), simply list your chosen selection in the "Special Shipping Directions" box which is on the final page of the checkout (please list the word "bonus" next to it), and that's all there is to it; upon working your order, I'll see the bonus title listed in the box and in turn make sure it gets added to your order.  Simple.

3b)  For customers who would like to order several titles and get a great discount deal at the same time, make sure to check out the new "10 For 11" Special Discount Offer (details at the top of every video category page).

4a)  All video titles listed for sale in ST's Video Library section are believed to be either in the PUBLIC DOMAIN, UNLICENSED or OUT OF PRINT an no longer available by domestic means, so no copyright infringement violations are being made to the best of our knowledge.  To better understand this, refer to the Berne Act.  If anyone comes across a video listed here they own rights to, please send--with credentials--a cease and desist notification, along with the information necessary to contact you to the e-mail address listed above; I will immediately remove that title from ST's Video Catalogue.

4b)  To close, all IMAGES appearing in the ST Video Catalogue are believed to be either unlicensed or in the public domain.  Only images appearing inside of a video description’s ‘brackets’ are from that particular video; any others are NOT.  Images not from any particular video are used mainly to set the theme for that individual video category only and imply nothing else.
