V0108 - MOJU:  (aka Blind Beast; Warehouse)  Bizarre and surreal Jap. horror film about a blind sculptor who, with the help of his mother, abducts a beautiful young model named Aki in order to create his masterpiece by using her body as his source of inspiration. Held captive by the unbalanced duo, Aki (Mako Midori), is imprisoned in a cavernous warehouse which, before her arrival, was used by the sculptor to display his works; literally one huge work of art itself, the warehouse - its walls covered with large and grotesque sculptures of human eyes, ears, noses, lips and limbs, all surrounding two humongous statues of the naked female form - serves as a nightmare tribute to the demented sculptor's obsession with the five senses. After attempting a failed escape, Aki schemes up a plan to win her freedom by turning the sculptor and his mother against each other by seducing her captor and, as she had planned, once their 'romance' begins to blossom, the mother resents her son's involvement with the prisoner. In an attempt to get back her son the mother tries to help Aki escape, but when the sculptor catches them going out the door a struggle ensues ending in the mother's death. Insane with grief, the sculptor drags his prisoner back into the warehouse, where he 'consummates' their relationship by raping the helpless woman. Resigned to her fate, Aki - now blind herself from being constantly kept in the dark - finally submits to her captor, which leads to the pair developing a twisted sadomasochistic relationship as they strive to push their senses to the fullest. As they beat, slice, stab and bite one another, Aki realizes there is only one true way for her to experience what she has been unable to feel yet - and it involves a large butcher knife and a mallet! Of course, a nasty ending follows for the heroine. A strange and horrific film by all accounts, but even moreso being that the film was released in 1969! Fair to good quality print, and in color. V0110 - MY  WAY:  Or what I lovingly refer to as the infomercial from HELL! More of an angry social statement against the rapidly disintegrating fabric of our modern world than anything else, this extremely disturbing 'documentary' type film tears upon religion, greed, politics, the ecology of our dying planet, and last but not least the moral decay of our society today. Interspersed with many brutal scenes of kinky sex, news footage, and the filmmaker's own 'artistic' video shots and narratives, this video will not leave you unaffected in some way, and that is a solid guarantee - I promise you there is something included here to offend everyone; the reason being this is real-life horror. I highly recommend not watching this video to those who feel depressed or suicidal because this film will give you all the incentive you need to take that last little step. And not for the screaming squeamish, or the animal lovers, either. Hell, this video isn't for anybody . . . except, perhaps, those who need a shining example of what the word APATHY really means. Lower quality transfer, but still very watchable; besides the video is so rare that you'd be hard-pressed to find it anywhere else. Order it, watch it - if you can - and thank me later!  $16.00

V0111 - NAKED  BLOOD:  (aka Splatter)  When an experimental test serum starts to display unexpected and bizarre side effects on its female test subjects, all gory hell breaks in this highly gross Japanese splatterfest! Following in his father's and mother's scientific footsteps, a brilliant seventeen year old kid named Eiji - in order to try and create "perfectly happy people" - develops an endorphin serum that literally keeps people from feeling any sensation of pain whatsoever, but there's a nasty catch - it works too good! While the serum does work to block people's brains from detecting pain signals, it simply converts those same signals into intense feelings of pleasure, causing anybody injected with the serum to experience orgasmic feelings of pleasure every time they get hurt. Unaware of the horrific chain of events he's about to set into motion, Eiji (Sadao Abe; UZUMAKI), administers his serum to three young women who, all of them believing themselves to be taking part in Eiji's mother's anti-pregnancy experiment at a local clinic, are unaware of the experimental serum that Eiji has given them by way of his mother's test. However, when unexpected "symptoms" begin to manifest in the test subjects, Eiji, unsure of how to neutralize his serum, is forced to sit by helplessly and watch as two of the young women - now addicted to the uncontrollable "pleasure from pain" cravings they've developed - begin to mutilate themselves in order to satisfy their strange desires; in one horrifying scene, one of the girls - her greatest pleasure being that of eating a good meal - begins to cannibalize herself in graphic fashion, using a fork and knife, no less (hint: now everybody's heard of eating pussy before, but who knew labia really tasted that damn good?). And while the third girl Rika (cutie Risa Aika), is seemingly unaffected from the outside her symptoms are truly the worst of all, because unlike the other girls, she doesn't inflict pain on herself - she inflicts it on everybody else! When Julie (Fenech), begins to receive bouquets of flowers with ominous notes containing taunts of past illicit affairs, she believes that a sadistic and jealous ex-lover named Jean (Ivan Rassimov), is the likely suspect. Coincidentally, when a brutal serial killer terrorizing the city known as the 'Sex Fiend' begins to claim more and more victims, Julie - who has a bit of a kinky side herself - begins to wonder if Jean's cruel and cold-blooded nature is pushing him to commit murder, especially now that she's spurned him for another lover, George. Afraid to be left alone in her busy husband's absence Julie rushes to be with her lover, but when her best friend Carol is slashed to death because of another anonymous note she finally goes to the police and asks them to investigate Jean. However, when Jean himself is later found dead in his bathtub - an apparent suicide - Julie fears that the police will not find the killer before she becomes the Fiend's next victim! However, when the reoccurring delusions he suffers from of his beautiful but deceased wife appearing to him in ghostly visions become worse, he decides the only way to rid himself of the delusions are to follow his cousin's advice and re-marry, which he does after meeting a beautiful young socialite at one of his mansion's balls. The newlyweds' bliss is soon shattered though when the bride tells her new husband of seeing a strange red-haired woman in the house soon after the marriage - a red-haired woman who matches the description of his dead wife! Fearing that his former wife has returned from the grave to haunt him, things only get worse for the man when the lifeless body of his crippled aunt, another resident of the the mansion, is discovered, and slowly he begins to go insane; soon after, he's committed to the asylum by his doctor for permanent observation. The man's will is read and his wealth is distributed among his new bride and surviving relatives, but it soon becomes clear that his wife seems to know more about his horrifying "ghostly visions" than she let on. Was the reappearance of the man's dead wife nothing more than a quick and clever scheme to drive someone crazy and steal a fortune? Or did the dead woman actually rise from the grave to seek revenge on her murderous lover? I can't give the answer away, but one thing's going to be made clear - the worms are waiting! Featuring the lovely Suzy Kendall, Suzy plays a young, but lonely socialite named Barbara whose intent is on trying to wed the married man she's having an affair with. Things quickly turn sour for the sneaky couple, however, when a planned romantic evening at a friend's borrowed penthouse turns into a surreal and frightening nightmare when Barbara answers a knock at the door. Claiming to be there only to 'read the meter', a strange man named Tom (played by Tony Beckley, the killer in the horror classic When A Stranger Calls), enters the penthouse and immediately begins casing the ritzy apartment. Within moments he's joined by his assistant 'Dick' and as Barbara begins to get frightened at the men's increasingly belligerent behavior, she calls to her lover, Bruce, who was hiding for fear that his wife was spying on them. Quickly, the two men subdue the confused man, which is only the beginning of a day-long nightmare for the two lovers as they are terrorized by the seemingly psychotic duo. As Barbara is drugged and brought into the bedroom where the men take turns raping her, Bruce is tortured with mindgames by each man until he cracks like a brittle eggshell. As their long day of torment winds to a close, all that's left for the sadistic twosome is to decide what to do with their victims - if they let the two live, then they'll tell the police everything, right? Awesome and rare exploit. flick with a clever story line, including a cameo appearance by the super-sexy Martine Beswick as the crazed duo's third partner in crime, Ms. Harold - and in case you didn't catch it yet there's a joke in there, people. I told you, this film gets really fucking weird! Fair to good quality print with a tiny bit of picture distortion early on (clears after a minute or two); also, the sound towards the end of the films starts to drop out and come back in; you can still hear what's going on, but the volume needs some adjusting.  $16.00

V0128 - PIECES:  All the way from '83 - and in this case, Japan - comes the UNCUT version of this blood-soaked trashy Spanish gorefest, and I just can't help but to think back with fond remembrance of renting this 'splatter-piece' from the video store in my misguided youth. Aahhh . . . to bored and lazy video clerks everywhere! A quiet New England college becomes a psychotic killer's hunting ground as he stalks beautiful college girls, brutally slaying them by wicked way of chainsaw and dismembering their bodies to collect their best 'features'. As the bloody body count increases, so does the inability of the police to do anything except scratch their heads in wonder - until a policewoman, planted on campus as a decoy, unwittingly reveals the true intentions of the police to the killer. Not that it will do her much good - the killer has her lined up as his next victim! Includes what is probably the most memorable shocker ending ever! Starring Christopher George, Linda Day, and Paul Smith (you know, Bluto from the Popeye movie!). V0129 - PLAYGIRLS  &  THE  VAMPIRE,  THE:  SUPER-RARE VIDEO!!! Released way back in 1960 the black & white gothic classic PLAYGIRLS is considered to be one of the very first Italian horror films ever, and perhaps even more importantly one of horror's very first efforts from any country to unleash blatant eroticism mixed together with the chills of gothic horror onto an unsuspecting public. The story revolves around a busload of showgirls who are forced to seek refuge in a nearby castle after getting stuck in a thunderstorm. There they meet the strange Count Kernassy who hesitantly welcomes them into his home only after seeing the beautiful Vera, a dancer from the revue who bears more than just a slight resemblance to one of his long-dead ancestors. The reclusive Count grants their stay on one condition only - that no one leaves their room at night for any reason. No matter what they hear. Although tame compared to today's fare, this UNCUT version of PLAYGIRLS with its fleeting nudity and see-thru nighties was considered a little scandalous and somewhat shocking back in 1960, especially when the taboo subject of nudity and/or sex was being combined with horror. V0130 - PORNO  HOLOCAUST:  This has got to be the nastiest - and best! - Joe D'Amato flick ever! If this video reminds you a little bit of his other film EROTIC NIGHTS OF THE LIVING DEAD (see above), that's because it almost is. Well, almost. Shot back to back with NIGHTS in 1980, PORNO HOLOCAUST was filmed on the same island and used most of the same actors and actresses. The similarities end right there, though, because from here on in HOLOCAUST is by far the better of the two films. The plot concerns a group of scientists heading to a tropical island to investigate some cases of mutating wildlife that have been discovered. However, during the course of their field studies the scientists soon discover that they're not alone on the isle, as they're attacked by a 'monster' who lives in a hidden cave - a monster who has a taste for pretty female scientists and who also has a huge cock to rape and kill them with! Outlandish and classic horror-porn from the true Master! Totally uncut, with all the hardcore sex scenes intact - including the scene where the monster catches one of the shapely scientists on the beach and chokes her to death by stuffing his humongous cock down her throat! V0131 - PREMUTOS:  From the makers of THE BURNING MOON comes this German sicko zombie gorefest, and I have to tell you that on the 'red-meter' these Olaf Bittenbach movies really take the cake. The plot revolves around a mysterious book which has the power to resurrect a centuries-old evil warlock named Premutos. Of course, a bumbling dunderhead happens along and sees the book, and as any half-witted horror film fan would know he just has to begin reading it. Much to his dismay he becomes the unwilling vessel for Premutos's bloody and very painful-looking resurrection; within moments he is off to wreak havoc and tear apart bodies. As the whole town soon becomes victim to the risen evil, the chances of stopping the demon become nil as there is almost no one left to stop him - almost! A couple of survivors from the warlock's 'party' debut find the means to stop the undead being, but will the love-struck duo survive the constant onslaught of Premutos's evil minions? This flick has one of the most appropriate 'The evil is dead!' unhappy endings I've ever seen, and in a comic twist a 'body count meter' displays the number of total fatalities throughout the film. Fair quality video, and in German only (no subs), but pretty easy to understand; being that most people get the video just for the gore, what's the problem?  $16.00
